Daily Moleskine 2018. August pages

Into August in my daily Moleskine planner where I make some kind of art (sometimes this word is used loosely!). I am still enjoying faces, mainly this month starting with an acrylic base shape and some ink for the features.  I made a couple of new stamps and mess about with them.  Some stuck in pictures and leaves along with some paint smooshes! I hope your month has been creative and your year continues in it’s creativity. Happy Wednesday x

Daily Moleskine 2017. December pages.

I made it!  A whole year of making some kind of art (I use the term very loosely for some days) in my daily Moleskine planner.  Yes, some days turned out a bit rubbish, but at least I had a go at something. The days I like far outnumber the days which I feel didn’t work, so I would call my 2017 project a success!  My 2018 planner is underway which makes me happy! For these December pages I painted a watercolour cactus, collaged and painted, gelli printed an old doily, practiced my ink painting, made some bauble strings, more collage, printed flowers, doodled, sketched biscuits and sketched a face with my new inks. I wonder what I will be posting at this time next year? Another book full of art I hope! Happy Monday x

Daily Creating April-June 2017

The 100 day project overtook my posts on my daily Moleskine, but it didn’t overtake the actual project.  I have to say that creating little daily art spaces in my Moleskine diary has been a joy this year. I literally put anything in there that I want to. I may be learning a new technique and a page will be used for practice or I may find a sticker which will be added or someone will send me a postcard and that will be stapled onto that day. It is becoming a record of the year as well as a creative practice. April’s pages were all made using Rae Missigman’s prompts for her Mark Making Monthly challenge.  It is always nice to have a jumping off point for each day.   May was back to me and I made marks, stuck stuff down and splashed colour about! These ladies were in a discarded library book so I cut them out and gave them new accessories. There is always something to draw and paint, these vintage …

Daily Creating February 2017.

February flew by and I created some kind of artness in my Moleskine Daily Planner every day. I like the ‘anything goes’ feel that the Moleskine still has.  I stick stuff in and sketch, paint and I even machine stitched a page! I also painted every day in my Strathmore sketchbook.  I didn’t land on a theme for February but I soon went right back to using my sumi brush with watered down gouache this time. Onwards and upwards, here comes March! Happy Wednesday x

Two 365 Projects for 2017

I may have taken on too much this year in the way of daily challenges (I hope not!), I have started with two projects which are going to be daily for the whole year.  Look how new and skinny these books look now, I can’t wait to show you a picture of them bulging and messy with paint and pen! I am going to be making a daily doodle, pattern, drawing, collage, whatever comes into my head in my daily Moleskine planner/sketchbook.  This is my ‘quick’ daily art.  The pages are quite thin, so I will not be adding too much media but if I decide to go for it, I can just stick some collage onto the following page.  This diary is aiming to be a freeform art project, my playtime if you will. The page may be relevant to the day or not, I may even just write all over some days, let’s see! The second daily 365 challenge is to make a painting or drawing a day.  This book is bigger and …
