‘I Like’ Friday.

img_8857

This week I have been liking all kinds of things including autumn seed pod gathering and photographing!

Here are some of the other things I am liking-

I finished The Wonder by Emma Donoghue in a week which is a record time for me (remember I am the slowest reader in the whole wide world), it was so good.  The book is full of memorable characters with lots of twists and turns.

I am feeding a sourdough starter as we speak using a recipe from ‘Bread’ by Dean Brettschneider . This is my second attempt as the first time I got a measurement wrong and a timing wrong on my first go.  Hopefully I will have a sourdough loaf or two in the next couple of weeks. Do you make sourdough?  I really hope it all works well after all of the feeding and measuring.

I am participating in NaNoDrawMo this month and I have managed  to complete every day so far, which makes three days going strong!

The Durrells in Corfu is one of my favorites to watch with my youngest, we love the adventures of the Durrells and I think I might have to borrow some Gerald Durrell books from the library now!

Project Runway and Project Runway Fashion Start-Up are my new guilty pleasures!

Flora Bowley’s new book ‘Creative Revolution’ is so inspiring, full of colour, ideas and very doable tips and techniques.

What have you been liking this week?

Happy Friday x

I live in St Louis, MO, but I am originally from Lincoln, Great Britain. My family and I have lived in the Mid West for over 10 years now. My blog is www.catseatdogs.com where I blog and chat about all kinds of creative stuff.

  1. My husband makes sourdough. It’s the best! Slow living personified, as it takes a day to activate the starter and then some more for the actual making of the loaf. Recently he’s been doing his own version of fruit loaf – he adds lots of cinnamon, sultanas, walnuts and a little bit of dried rosemary – it is something special! And so worth the wait. I hope yours works out for you. Your autumn seed pods are gorgeous, and reminds me that I must learn to use my fancy camera (so I can take lovely photos like yours).xx

    • Oh I really hope I end up with a loaf one day! Your husband’s bread sounds amazing. My problem is that I lack patience, so sourdough is a good exercise for me!!
